““The Human Experience” came from my thought process on where I am and all the people I come across and have surrounded myself with. Their art is their form of expressing their experiences and taking moments, thoughts and ideas that they then make tangible for us to be able to see, connect to, and make our own interpretation of.
Some of the most painful experiences in my life have allowed me to create works of art that tell a story of where I am or what I have been through. I am able to conceptualize what comes from my deepest feelings and emotions and then that becomes part of the piece I am creating. The only real explanation I have at times is that I create when I feel the need to convey a message to the world. Sometimes it’s long and drawn out and other times it’s straight to the point, visually. Yet, even in that, there is so much more than meets the eye in every piece, it goes beyond paint to canvas – ink to paper, and ultimately thoughts and feelings expressed through my process for the world to see.
Through this exhibit, I hope the viewer will be able to appreciate the different realms of art and people I have encountered and brought into one space and all that goes into creating these works of art. The pieces for this exhibit express some of the artist’s most inner thoughts and feelings conveyed through their work. Each artist has made their mark and impact in different art communities and they continue to forge through this industry.
I am honored to be able to bring together an exhibit that helps you see into a part of what each artist has to say about their “Human Experience” through their most recent works of art.”
